emdr for clients

EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing)is a type of therapy that has you focus briefly on traumatic memories while simultaneously experiencing bilateral stimulation such as tapping and eye movements. The method is extensively researched and proven to help people recover from trauma and PTSD symptoms. EMDR therapy has even been superior to Prozac in trauma treatment (Van der Kolk et al., 2007). Shapiro and Forrest (2016) share that more than 7 million people have been treated successfully by 110,000 therapists in 130 countries since 2016. Please visit EMDRIA to learn more including the impact on the brain and the overall experience.

At Healing Compass Therapy, we believe in the power of using EMDR to help your brain heal and offer individual sessions as well as half-day and full-day sessions.
